Airsmithing

We all have to start learning some where right? Zero and myself have been working on three different guns with mixed results.

My CA m15a4 has been a love hate project gun. Installed a tight bore and an m120 spring in it over a year ago...maybe two and the spring for the anti reversal latch popped out of place and was ground flat. Final got around to replacing the latch and getting the gun operational once more just recently. Took her to AEX tonight to chrono and clocked in at 300fps. Frustration took over at that point. It appears to be a the hop up and gearbox not having a tight seal. Installed a o-ring and now its a tight fit. I'll have to take it in again and hopefully the fps will be around 380-400 this time.

Now the mp5k is just a mess. We gave up for the night as we both have class tomorrow (well actually today). Long story short (as I really should be sleeping now lol) we installed a metal spring guide, sp120 spring, new shims, stainless bushings, and a high torque motor. BUT, its not turning over and the gearbox is locking up. FAIL, try again next week.

The third gun is a CA SLR-105. We really haven't gotten to that one yet as we need a new wiring assembly since this one has...well....melted ;-)

Well time to turn in. Good night.
